The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has leaked so frequently in the past couple of months (heck, even Samsung’s head of Mobile Communications confirmed it), that the device may as well be out already.

The latest news about the compact tablet is that it’s set to hit retail in Europe at the end of March for around €359 for the WiFi only version (€449 if you throw 3G into the mix). Compare this to €329 for the iPad mini (€429 with 3G), and you can see that Samsung aim to directly compete with the smaller iPad with their upcoming product.

Twitter hacked, 250,000 user accounts affected

Anonymous hackers have targeted Twitter this week and gained access to roughly 250,000 user accounts though only "limited information" such as usernames, email addresses, session tokens and encrypted/salted versions of passwords were compromised, the microblogging service said on Friday.

Twitter has already reset passwords for affected users, and will notify them soon, it said in a blog post. The cyberattacks come days after the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal revealed they had been the target of a well-coordinated hacking effort.

"This attack was not the work of amateurs, and we do not believe it was an isolated incident," Twitter said. "The attackers were extremely sophisticated, and we believe other companies and organisations have also been recently similarly attacked."

Google updates AdSense application process for Publishers

Google is making some updates to the application process for publishers who apply for AdSense through host partner sites like Blogger or Hubpages. These updates will only affect new publishers who apply from today onwards. Now when an AdSense account is approved by Google the Publisher can use the ad codes on any site. But now if a publisher got her AdSense approved for Blogger or Hubpages he/she can use it in another blogger blog. Android dominates the smartphone market

Google's Android software for mobile devices was running on 75 percent of smartphones shipped in the third quarter, as the search company extended its lead over Apple, according to research firm IDC.

Apple's iOS system, used in iPhones, was second with a market share of 15 percent. Apple's new iPhone didn't come out until late in the quarter, while Samsung Electronics Co. and other Android makers had major releases earlier.

A year ago, Android had just 58 percent to the iPhone's 14 percent. Gains came largely at the expense of BlackBerry and Symbian phones, according to Thursday's report from IDC.

While Android phones dominate unit sales, 90% of profits in the smartphone market is held by two companies, Apple and Samsung.

Apple still manages to make more profits (twice as much actually) in the smartphone market than all the other operators combined.

Boost your Internet speed upto 20%

Type "Gpedit.msc" in the Run box and Hit Enter.
Then goto Computer Config > Administrative Templates > Network > QoS Packet Scheduler.

Then on the right hand side window double click on "Limit Reservable Bandwidth".

In that window, enable this option and change the value of % from 20 (default) to 0.

Thats it.

This is the bandwidth Microsoft reserves for doing Windows Updates.

The latest test version of Microsoft's upcoming Windows 8 software is missing one crucial button - the Start button and menu, an iconic part of Microsoft's operating system since it was introduced in Windows 95.The button evolved to become the operating system's 'launchpad', offering access to software, files and search functions. Earlier test versions of Windows 8 had flattened the recognisable 'orb' - but the new build removes it altogether, according to leaked screenshots from tech site The Verge. Microsoft has not announced a release date for the new operating system, built to work with touchscreens as well as on conventional PCs, but it's widely expected to release in the second half of this year.

To hide the Blogger Navbar :

Log in to blogger
On your Dashboard, select Layout. This will take you to the Template tab.
Click Edit HTML. Under the Edit Template section you will see you blog's HTML.

We often keep some private materials which others should not see at the home PC. How can we hide it from others praying eyes. Its very simple and effective. We can redirect the folder to "Control Panel" of "My Documents" whenever any one clicks on them.

Follow the procedure :

Lets assume you have a folder in drive D names Personal.
Now rename this folder to "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
Anyone clicking on this will be redirected to control panel instead of your folder. So the files remain invisible to others.
